EJ Oshier is a veteran leader and operational executive, currently serving as Chief of Staff at CureDuchenne. John Blue is a leadership consultant, author, and former NHL player whose career spans elite sports, executive coaching, and organizational leadership. A member of the 1988 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team and former player with the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, John has spent decades helping leaders and organizations strengthen culture, develop talent, and improve performance. Investor Spotlight: Joe Thornton

Joe Thornton “Jumbo Joe” - is a true hockey legend. A ’25 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame, he completed a 24-season NHL career amassing 1,539 points in 1,714 games, ranking 12th all-time in points and 7th in assists. He claimed the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy during the 2005-06 season and led the league in scoring while playing for two teams in one year - a first in NHL history. 

Joe’s investment in McCoy reflects that same mix of vision, tenacity, and leadership he brought on the ice.

Erik Preston is a veteran engineering and technical operations leader, currently serving as SVP of Engineering & Technical Operations at Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile. With over a decade overseeing large-scale systems, DevOps, and global engineering teams, Erik has built and supported carrier-grade platforms that serve millions of customers.

His earlier roles at Citrix, Muve Music, and Cricket Wireless strengthened his expertise in automation, system architecture, and high-reliability infrastructure across the telecom ecosystem.

Investor Spotlight: Mike Wojciechowski, Ed.D.

Mike Wojciechowski is an entrepreneur and real estate leader with more than three decades of experience developing over 60,000 affordable housing units and structuring billions in investment through Affordable Housing Advisors and M Square Trust. He has also held long-standing leadership roles within YPO and WPO.

Mike serves as a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at Loyola Marymount University, where he mentors founders and teaches new venture creation. His passion for education and guiding emerging leaders aligns directly with McCoy’s mission, making his support especially meaningful.

Joe Pavelski “Captain America” - is one of the most accomplished American players in NHL history. A ‘25 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, he earned 1,000+ career points over 18 seasons with the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars and stands as the all-time playoff goals leader among U.S.-born players. Off the ice, Joe continues to excel competitively, winning the ‘25 American Century Championship golf tournament.

Trevor Kruder is the founder and CEO of Alpha BioMed Industries and several biotech and peptide-focused companies committed to improving patient care through trusted, lab-manufactured solutions. As a leader in the peptide space, he has become a strong advocate for responsible, science-driven education for clinics and patients.

Our partnership began by building Alpha BioMed’s education. That shared focus on high-quality learning led Trevor to form DARKTASK, an investment arm for innovative healthcare platforms. DARKTASK’s investment in McCoy reflects our mutual belief that trusted education is essential to modern medicine.

Investor Spotlight: Jeff Flynn

Jeff Flynn brings over two decades of leadership across mobile communications and emerging technology. He recently was instrumental in building Mint Mobile from a telco start-up to Unicorn status. Prior to Mint, his career includes senior roles across telco, fintech and media with deep expertise in product management, go-to-market strategy, and scaling high-growth organizations.

McCoy Enters Orbit.

March 2026 marked an important milestone for McCoy as we surpassed $1 million in funding through our SAFE offering. A remarkable group of investors, educators, operators, and industry leaders chose to back our vision for the future of learning, helping accelerate the development of McCoy and the ecosystem we’re building to transform how knowledge is created, delivered, certified, and experienced at global scale. While this milestone was significant, we continue to view it as just the beginning of a much larger journey.

McCoy Announces Sameer Bojja as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

We are excited to announce that Sameer Bojja has joined McCoy as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Sameer leads all aspects of engineering, from our core Terminal engine to our user-facing platforms. With nearly a decade at Accenture guiding AI and product strategy, and degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management, he brings exceptional technical and strategic depth as we advance the future of intelligent learning.

We’re excited to share that McCoy’s Terminal is now in use in the field of aviation, showcasing its adaptability for high-stakes training. We’ve also fine-tuned our curriculum engine to expand into Literature, History, Cosmology, and more, enabling rapid, high-quality content generation. We are excited to announce that McCoy Health has engaged the esteemed law firm Stradling as our company counsel, with Mark Skaist leading our legal needs. Mark brings a wealth of experience in guiding companies from startup through growth stages, ensuring smooth navigation through formation, funding rounds, and strategic deals. We started McCoy with a simple question Erin asked one night: “Why doesn’t something like this exist for nurses?”
